Could anyone reccomend a specific place to have the Gun-Kote finish applied on a couple of my rifles?

Thanks!

John

I have had some work done by this gentleman. He does very nice work and is a real nice guy too. http://www.frontlinearmory.com/

Mac is also supposed to do a very good job of Gunkote over parkerizing. I've never had him do work for me, but I've seen his work. http://www.shootiniron.com/

Mac's Shootin Iron is probably the best place to go for Gun-Kote.

Is this finish as durable as it's cracked up to be?

go to www.shootiniron.com

Mac applies a finish that is tough and beautiful.

He has a tuf gun treatment that is a gun kote over a parkerizing and I highly recommend it.

Mac did an AK for me a few years ago and it has no signs of wear or any break or chip in the finish.

He also does a fluff and buff to the internals that will give you back a weapon that is considerably smoother than the one you sent in.

Is his Tuff-Gun 2 finish glossy? I'm aware that it's simply an extra coat of polyurathane over his Tuff-Gun 1 finish, and I want to maintain a matte look on the gun.

It is not glossy at all.

I just posted a pic of my AK here at:

Mac's finish also keeps the oil retaining properties of parkerizing.
