I did not know this but during one of the Wednesday night shows there was an ad that Cheaper than Dirt now sells firearms. I checked a couple of prices out and compared them to Buds. They were about $3-$4 more than Buds, and they do change $8 flat fee for shipping hand guns but take a credit card at no additional cost. Looks like Budís has some competition. But it remains to be seen if they will provide as good service as Buds.

Anyone try them out yet? How was their service?

They are drop shipping a lot of those from a supplier that several use.

They won't be any competition for Bud's if their prices on guns are like their prices on everything else!

I don't shop at CTD ever since I found their $19.99 magazine sale (for a $27 magazine at regular price) tacked on an $8 "handling" charge for each one you added to your cart.

Cheaper Than Dirt has very sleezy business ethics. They were happily price gouging people by a ridiculously obcene amount when the buying panic was going on.

Also, I have never found them close to their competition when it comes to price especially during the buying panic. Just about any reputable on line business is always cheaper than them.

Buy from Bud's and don't support the sleezy business'.

I must have got lucky. I made a purchase from them on saturday for $38. Today they credited my account $6. So i called and asked what happened. They told me that the shipping turned out to be cheaper and they gave me back the difference.

Cheaper than dirt has always sold guns. I only live 10 miles from the store so I never have any problems with them. Their ammo is a bit expensive though. There is a catalog desk where you can pick up what is advertised in their catalog....chris3

Only thing I ever saw ordered from CTD was bulk ammo. A friend of mine ordered an ammo can of FMJ 9mm for plinking. By the time he and I went through the can and weeded out all the unusable rounds, about 1/3 of them, he could have paid less for what he got almost anywhere else.

I used to live near them. Rumor had it they started out as a Mormon preparedness store. Don't know if it's true or not, but they did carry more freeze dried food, and survival gear etc when I started going there. But, they always sold guns in the store. And when I first discovered them they were GREAT. Nice people, service times in line with crowd in store, etc. That was in the mid 90s

But shortly they fell off the cliff as it were. Literally from one week to the next. Not sure if there was a management change or what, but the service went to the dogs, and the prices started to rise. Been leaving them alone ever since unless they have something I ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY can't get elsewhere.
