Is there anyone up on current law? I *thought* air guns was fixed a while back in the legislature but it doesn't seem so.

I want to buy a rifled .177 pellet pistol, I have a Michigan CWP which should oblivate the permit to purchase but will that work for mail order sales if I send the seller a copy?

Thanks,

Clutch

The best I can say is call the place you are buying from. It should not be a problem but some places are more worried then others about this kind of thing.
I asked my professor in my Law Enforcement class who is a Michigan State Trooper (I live in Morrice MI) and he gave me this. "According to Michigan law Sec. 222. As used in this chapter: (b) "Firearm" means a weapon from which a dangerous projectile may be propelled by an explosive, or by gas or air. Firearm does not include a smooth bore rifle or handgun designed and manufactured exclusively for propelling by a spring, or by gas or air, Bb's not exceeding .177 caliber"

I tried ordering a 1377 online shipped to a Walmart where I work. We will see how that works out.

I also sent emails to my state senator and member of the state house asking them to get rid of this stupidity.

Firearm does not include a smooth bore rifle

Chalk that up with dehydrated water, profligate frugality, jumbo shrimp, teetoataling lushes, and ethical politicians. :D
