Got a question.
Anyone know where a guy could find some of the screw-on snaps they use on interchangable belt loops for holsters. After lookin, for a while, I'm begining to think the big makers have them custom made.
Thanks for any info.

I don't know that I've seen what you're lookin for, but would chicago screws work? Tandy Leather and various other leather working sites might have them on line.

Tex61:
1st post, welcome.
I don't think they are snaps, just T-nuts with the barbs cut off thru the leather and a short screw.
That's what holds the belt clips onto the holsters I have.
T-nuts are available at any hardware store or the big box home centers.

Hey thanks, I'm going to chck into that product. It looks a lot like what I'm dealing with`...but I'm making a holster and lookin' for the piece/part that would attach permenanlty to the holster (w/threads).

I had never seen them either, untill I picked up a Sparks Summer Special Holster (Love this holster) w/interchangable belt loops.

I may end up tryin' Chicago screws at some point...thanks.

I get T-Nuts at Westlake hardware.
They are in the metal drawer assorted small stuff aisle.

I've used them for exactly what you are asking about.

I use Chicago screws for this purpose. I take the male part of the snap, and turn the screw head down to fit inside that part. The Chicago screw holds the female part of the snap to the holster or backing and the small head diameter allows the male part to go all the way into the female part.
