I need a good IWB holster for a Para P12-45 and a matching 2 mag holder.

Does not have to be fancy just very leather, functional and tough.

Also thinking of a belt from thebeltman with the insert.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions.

You can't beat the CrossBreed supertuck, I too sometimes forget Its there, it is that comfortable. What ever you decide keep us up to speed with your decision.

Good luck

Crossbreed and Beltman are a powerful combination, and they have a better mag holder now.

If you're afraid of Kydex (and you shouldn't be) Tucker Gunleather makes leather-lined versions of those two CB products, for a bit more cash, of course.

UBG (http://ubgjp;sters.com) makes several nice IWBs, your choice of clip or strap retention. I had a "Canute" and was very pleased with it. Now, if you want really tough, consider one made of horse hide from High Noon, Kramer, et al. If your region of TX is a particularly hot or humid one and you spend a lot of time out in it, horse hide is more resistant to sweating through. I also second the Beltman belt, but the insert is not really necessary except for very heavy guns.

The Milt Sparks VMII is pretty hard to beat. Very comfortable and very functional.

The biggest downside to IWB if you choose leather is if you sweat a lot, especially if you live/work/play in a warm, humid climate. In that respect, kydex is youre better choice as its impervious to moisture. Leather, no matter the type, quickly gets wet and stays wet, theres no getting around it. Come the warmer months, I have to replace the VMII with a Blade Tech IWB. Its just a lot easier on both you and the gun.

As far as your mag carrier, I'd suggest not getting the IWB type. They are very uncomfortable and often difficult to get at. I've always found a good, high riding OWB double carrier to work well and is easily hidden. Desantis makes a good one that is pretty minimal and without bulk.

Another vote for Supertuck. I use mine in 100+ degree summers, shorts, and a t-shirt. No problems with a full-size 1911.

I agree and should have made that clear.
Just the thought is uncomfortable.

My IWB carrier from Tucker Gunleather is comfortable
Of course, it is the double with spread-out support, so it rides like a SuperTuck.

I'll admit that it isn't as fast to retrieve a magazine, but I carry them in the IWB, or I leave them home with anything else ... I'll take a slow reload over none.

Another vote for Crossbreed here. I also use a 2 mag holster by UglyBaldGuy.

Sorry I should have said an OWB mag holder.

Looks like CrossBreed Supertuck or the one with the kydex insert for a faster reholsering.

I saw a buddy with a N8S holster. Is it anywhere near as good as he claimed it was? Yes summer heat is tough hear but not near as hit as near the gulf.

Thanks for the horse hide idea! I have been trying the cheaper ones and I can tell you noe after all this time, quality is worth the price when it come to protecting an $800 firearm, or anything really for that matter.

E-mail Ray Cory. He has been making holsters and belts since 1972. I have two complete rigs, one of which is worn every day.
4-5 week wait, but very affordable and comfortable....

Crossbreed Supertuck
Of course Crossbreed isn't a leather holster.

High Noon makes some tough leather. They don't specifically list the P-12, but they do show other Para's.

Simply Rugged Cuda. You could wear it IWB or OWB. Pair it with their "Real Man's" belt and a mag carrier and you are good to go.

Now if you want kydex recommendations, like some of the other guys have given, I can give those too.
