The advertiser thinks they are Lymans
# 848 mold blocks with handles
- # 296 mold blocks with handles
- # 50 mold blocks with handles
- # 130 mold blocks with handles
- # 169 mold blocks

But their is a Saeco piece in their it is a big flat looking piece of steel not sure what it is.

Thanks

Some of those numbers look more like Hensley & Gibbs mold numbers, but Saeco also uses numbers like that on their molds.

Here is a link to the Hensley & Gibbs molds: http://hgmould.gunloads.com/casting/hgmoldchart.htm

Here is a link to the current SAECO molds: http://www.redding-reloading.com/online-catalog/88-bullet-moulds-charts

Hope this helps.

The numbers seem to go with the Hensly Gibbs but the box color and style are very similar to the lyman press box also shown int he picture.

http://www.three-peaks.net/bullet_molds.htm Link is to Ideal & Lyman moulds. Last 3 numbers are the mould number. Ideal became Lyman.

I think you need a botanist to identify molds.

Oh, you mean bullet molds - sorry, never mind ;)

That's one reason I use the older spelling of: MOULDS! ;)

Check here: http://www.castpics.net/ About in the middle of the left column, there is a selection for Mould References. Click on that and there are a lot of different manufacturers listed there.

I could help more if I could see the moulds. Do you have a camera or a way to post pictures? Try scanning them, that works sometimes.

I told the guy I was going to skip, understandably he did not want to split up his stuff, and I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff I don't need.

I had to drive to Utah today to sell a dog so while I was near some larger cities I went to a gun shop and found the two moulds I need. I got two lee molds one is a TC 230 grain .452 for my XD 45 and the other is a two cavity 240 grain .430 for my 44. Thanks for all your help.
