Which direction should dovetailed sights be drifted toward?

I have a set of meprolight night sights for direct replacement of factory dovetailed sights on a Bwoening Hi-Power. Does anyone know which direction I should drift out the factory sights toward? And then, toward what direction would I drift the new sights onto the slide?

Out from left to right (if holding the gun in a firing grip), and in from right to left.
