Happy Holiday guys,
Still try'n to do that Squrriel hunting thing with a .38 spl. ut I got tired and sat down along some hay bales and a Coyote came walking out the tree line and started right for me. I slowly pulled back the hammer and waited and then....Well just look at the picture :D

OK.

I saw him coming and waited until the last possible moment when he was 15 yards away or so. The Coyote just did me a favor and looked up at the top of the hay at something that caught his eye. I already had the weapon pointed at him and fired a 158 gr. JHP bullet at him. If you look closly you can see where it hit him in the jaw and exited out at the bottom of his skull at the base of the neck.

I hung him on a fence post. Still haven't taken any Bushy tails with a .38, but I'm still try'n and the Squrriels are still laughing at me from the tops trees.

But their day will come!

Thx for that info ..... well, I had noticed some head blood but wasn't sure if that had maybe been the result of a lung shot .......... as it happens ... an very effective impact result .... doubt the critter knew too much about it!!

Ahhh ... the ubiquitous 158 .. as you didn't specify I imagine it might have been just a plain lead or jacket .... but anyways .. got the job done.

158Jhp? Y'all must have some BIG squirrels. :what:

I used to use 148gr wadcutters in my 6" Python for Squirrels.
Minimal meat damage.
