Shooting Budd has a .357/9MM Blackhawk 'Convertable', and he likes it very well, particularly when he wants to shoot cheap...installs the 9MM cylinder and blazes away. According to him, his accuracy is about the same, with the .357 having a very slight edge. I'm not a good enough shooter to tell.

When I want to 'shoot for cheap', I take my Single-Six with the .22LR cylinder

It's a great gun. 9mm can be had dirt cheap in 'range loads' and my gun is accurate and fun to shoot. Go for it. Dave

Go for it.
The Ruger Blackhawk is a classic, I have 3. They are heavy, tough guns that will last a lifetime.
I would trade my .357 BH for a .357/9mm conv. if I found a good one.

Not sure what bbl lengths are offered in .357/9mm but I prefer my 4 5/8 bbl for fun/packing/carry/plinking and 7 1/2 bbl for hunting/target shooting. FWIW

Mine is an Old Model 3 Screw. It shoots very well with .357/.38 loadings I use....and 9mm is as accurate as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

i already have a single six 22 convertible. so im thinking of getting one for hunting and target shooting. also i have a ruger p95 that uses 9mm so id could use the same "affordable" ammo for both.
