I'm getting ready to start my son and I on the NRA qualifications courses of fire.(the self-directed stuff).. there is a term that i don't understand.. in the pistol course of fire (defense style, not bullseye), it talks about the position of "standing" in some sections and of "standing, ready" in others..

what is the difference, please?
