New Bill coming into Kentucky's legislature

Independent representative Mike Harmon (who plans to run for governor in the next election) is introducing legislation that will eliminate all licensing requirements for concealed carry - no permit, no classes, no training.
If you can legally own a firearm, you can carry concealed (or open - which we've always had).
Harmon's interview on WVLK this morning was impressive. He's amazingly articulate, and deeply committed to improving the 2A liberties of Kentuckians.

FL is also trying to soften some carry restrictions. Currently bill#0234 is on the table in the state senate

Would the proposed change leave an optional permit for reciprocity purposes like Alaska and Arizona do?

currently FL respects out-of-state CC permits. I believe the current State senate bill addresses concerns over Legal gun-toters locking their firearms in the trunk of their car at "theme parks" among other issues. The op speaks of Kentucky so this may be off-topic

As I understand it, yes. It would also maintain optional permits for the purpose of eliminating NICS checks (my favorite thing about holding a CCW).

Did you happen to see a bill number (maybe too soon for that yet?)? I'll go try to dig this up in local news and contact my General Assembly folks later on once this gets started.
