She bought me a g21sf for Xmas, so I had to try it out. that and she needed more range time with her carry gun(walther pps)

Looks like you all had fun. My trips are all shootin' and no time for moving pictures. I will have to think to bring the video camera with me soon.:o

Looks like you had a lot of fun. Had the whole family at the range and it's always fun - especially the shogun. The firepower differences between a small caliber handgun and buckshot were always striking.

No headshots? They allow short barreled shotguns but no headshots?

No head-shots? What's that about?

The "bedroom" comment made me fall out of my chair....! :D

You had words with the owner over the idiotic and inappropriate "no head shots" garbage-right? When you pay to rent a lane, you can shoot YOUR paper wherever you'd like (I can't believe I just had to say that). I wouldn't go back to a range run by people that stupid. Why do they even care what part of the paper you shoot at? They have nothing better to do? I would like to see them throw out a lady for shooting at the "head" on a piece of paper.

Proper training requires practicing head shots. I'll bet the owner knows this too, but thinks he's an elite who is the only one professional enough to shoot at certain parts of paper.

EDIT: This was at the firing line range wasn't it :barf::barf: I swear they train their range officers to go out of their way to be controlling and condescending.

Here's their rules (98% of which make sense).

They don't have to worry about getting my money. Their rule against those evil head shots at paper is actually under the "vandalism" section . Yep.

I'm guessing the owner's rationale behind that rule is that the slightly more upward angle of the gun might increase chances of someone hitting and damaging the railing used for putting out and bringing back targets.

Edit: Yep, as elcaminoariba points out, that's it.

Every dumb rule has a rationale. Every single one.

If head shots were damaging the facilities (which I don't believe) the rule should be "no shooting at the top two inches of the target." But see that's the difference between me and control freaks like that range officer. I will make a rule that is immediately clear and actually makes sense.
