Exciting new "Features" are, Polymer coated steel cases, and Berdan primers!!

What do you bet its actually made by Wolf, Tula, etc. and imported with Hornady headstamps in boxes marked Hornady with "made in Russia" in really small letters somewhere on the package.

I can't see them tooling up to make thier own steel cases with Berdan primers!

Well-- it'll be easier for the range clean-up crew with their magnetic broom to pick up fired cases. The shotshells are brass plated steel bases, so clean-up during slug gun sight in is a piece of cake.
People like us, that handload, should be tickeled to see we can reload brass cases for less than what Hornady is calling their "ECONOMY" loads.

Watch the demo on that link to Hornady. I wonder if that dude firing that full auto would dump a couple mags, then let a live round sit in that hot chamber. Doyathink it might melt that lacquer coating, tie up that rifle?:what::eek::evil:

Watching the video, unless my eyes are deceiving me, the headstamp on the 9mm looks like it say's "PMC".... Video says they buy the cases from an outside source. I sure don't see the 40% savings that Steve mentions. I am really glad I don't have to buy ammunition, it just keeps getting more and more expensive. Back when I did buy ammo I never had good luck with any of the steel cased stuff anyway, many autoloaders don't like it, and forget trying to get a steel cased .45 ACP out of many moon-clips.
Its too bad most of the brass on the PD/SO range is .40 S&W, I can pick up all I want for free when I make it out there.
