Tapco G2 FCG disconnector problem

I've been working on converting my MAK90 from the thumbhole stock and part of my compliance pieces are the G2 fire control group. Everything fit in just fine and my old disconnect spring is long enough (checked after reading some forum posts last night).

However, the only way the disconnect catches the hammer, is if I pull and hold the trigger. Upon releasing the trigger, the disconnect releases the hammer and is caught by the single hook.

Without pulling the trigger, the hammer gets caught by the hook, but doesn't catch the disconnect.

Has anyone else fixed this problem without filing or dremeling the parts?

If so... what must be done?

I'd like to avoid filing anything, but I will if I must. I just can't afford to mess up right now. I want to do this right, so it's not going to be a matter of "getting used to" the lighter trigger pull. I greatly appriciate any advise.

Your FCG is working exactly as it's supposed to.

Good thing you asked before trying to fix this "problem"!

Fortunately, by nature I'm one that likes to "measure twice before cutting" so to speak.
