Father in law just gave me his Glenfield Mod. 75 for my son. Curious to know what the year it is and how to get replacement parts. Needs magazine tube in order to use it (missing). Serial number is 72192123. Any help would be appreciated.

Numrich has multiple parts for your rifle, including the inner magazine sleeve and springs. An exterior tube from a model 60 Marlin (they look very much the same) might work as well.

Anybody got an idea of the year it was manufactured?

I too own a marlin glenfield mod 75. +1 for Numrich, I saw your serial number question on wiki. answers :) As far as the age goes a quick google resulted in this.
If it has no serial number, before 1968. Otherwise, subtract the first two numbers of the serial number from 2000.
But then i applied it to your serial and the result would be 1928 if the first 2 numbers are as you read em. Or 1977 if done as the "first numbers from right to left"
Dunno if this is true

That is why i'm confused about it. Doesn't seem to fit in any of the Glenfield serial number scenarios that i have seen online. Anyone else?

I don't think they started that 'subtract the number from 2000' stuff until 1973. From '69 until '73 they used what some folks call the changeover system. I would bet yours was made in '72. 72xxxxxxx
