Went to a gun store and this guy want 876$ for these guns. He said it was because something about the numbers can't rember and the end of the barrel was cut in half. Anybody know or heard anything like this and how much does a wasr go for?

Sounds high to me. If you decide to get a WASR, just be sure to check the front sight and gas tube alignment. You might need to do some mag well work as well. I've had two and have never had a problem with the WASR.

What's up with the barrel cut on the end?

That would be a slant muzzle break.....

You may want to research them a little before you buy...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WASR_series_rifles

Also, run some searches here on thr.

Good luck, let us know what you decide. :)

Is the slant muzzle better?

On a semi auto they make no difference, really.

No, it's nothing special.

I purchased my Wasr-10 on sale for $350 from Dunhams (local sporting goods store) on Black Friday.

The store seems to be willing to sell you a WASR for about twice the amount most other dealers would sell a similar rifle for.....while a decent enough rifle in most cases, its not worth twice what most people pay for one....

For $876 walk away. I purchased one from J&G store with a folding stock, extra mag and all the extra "stuff" for $379.00
They are what they are....a lower-level Com-Bloc AK. Pretty much any other nation's AK is a better rifle, but, they feed, fire and eject every time.
They are rough, and not very accurate (AK's are not meant to be). But, nasty fun to shoot, very reliable, ammo is cheap and I'll take one in a tight spot over my old 180 series Mini-14 anyday.

Was it the one Saddam Hussein had? :neener:

Anyway the guy needs a real good story to try to foist them off for that price. It's a decent $400 gun, no more.

I don't think he can even claim it's preban...

876$
Is there a 2nd rifle included in that price? :neener:

Too much for a WASR-10, cut that in half and you might be at a fair price. As stated above, they are low-end romanian made AKs.
However, they do work, and work well. I've never had a problem with mine, and I like the G2 trigger.

Also fun for refinishing the wood. I did the stock, and wood on top of the gas tube. Still gotta get around to do the lower forestock.
