Swapping scopes??

Having been an avid collector (or maybe "accumulator") of various long guns for over 50 years, I have gotten to the point where my "glass" collection has almost out weighed my rifles addiction. Have always had this idea that a rifle deserved a scope of it own--mounted, dialed in--then stored in the safe for God knows how long!
As my age has increased, and my days in the field have markedly decreased, I have started to "thin the herd" down to just those 30 or 40, that I really like to shoot (ha).
My question is: Are there those of you out their that regularly "swap" scopes from one firearm to another--not dedicating a certain scope to a certain rifle? I know that we all have our "go to" guns that stay zeroed from one season to another, but what about the "closet queens" that maybe make it to the range twice a year. Was just curious what other gun nuts are doing.

I have done it a time or two, but if I have a scope rifle combo I like, it stays that way unless an upgrade happens. I just recently did that with a .222 Mag. The old scope is a good one, and will find a home somewhere someday.

Like you, I have more scopes than rifles. They were about neck and neck for a while, then I sold some guns and now I also have dad's pile-o-scopes too :) He's 91 and shot his last deer this year. Cleaning up the blood trail got him in fall and that took out his hip. So I'm going through his stuff and parting it out :(

I am dedicating scopes to rifles. I don't want to swap any more. I used to have some steel tube Weavers in K4 through K10 with Weaver mounts on a number of guns. Easy enough to swap and redial for range, varmints or field. But then I started putting Nikon 3x9's on and stopped swapping. Now I'm dedicating glass to gun and building range tables so I can count on good reliable similar look and feel as the ranges get longer.

All my scopes are mounted in Tactical rings and are completely interchangeable on any of my rifles, all of which wear 20MOA picatinny rails.
