I've got an Iver Johnson Target Mod.55 that shoots very well and has an ok triger. !!!BUT!!! it doesn't have all the pins. Does anybody know where I can get one, new or used? The back strap has I.J.A&C.WKS. FITCHBUG MASS. U.S.A. writen on the backstrap and holds 8, 22LR rounds.

What pins? For grip alignment? If so then pins of that sort are available at a number of places. I think I even saw them at Home Depot in the bulk parts bin. Or for this sort of use you can even make your own from welding rod, if they are a common size, or from music wire from a hobby shop or even from a suitable size of nail. The first step is to size the hole that holds the pin. You can use drill bits for this. Just slide the shank of the drill into the hole until you find a size that fits. Once you know what fits take a set of dial or digital calipers to the local hardware store and check out nails until you find the size that matches what you need. Cut pins of the correct length plus a little and dress the ends with a file to length. There ya go.

The pin I am missing is the cylinder pin retainer. When I shoot the pin that the cylinder spins on slides out and the cylinder falls out. NOT GOOD FOR THE PRIDE!!!

Check with Numrich as well. www.gunpartscorp.com

The gun appears to be one where you remove the cylinder and then use the cylinder axle pin to eject the cases. The "pin" that locks the cylinder axle in place is likely not a single part. Instead it will be a two part screw together deal that has a spring in it to make the locking pin a spring loaded device. So be sure you get all the bits needed.

In a pinch, and with some measuring of your gun, a good home shop machinist could turn out the bits you need to do this if you can't find any parts.

Using the pin to eject the case is new to me but it works. It looks like you are also right about the pin being two parts. I will check both shops for it. Thanks for the info.
