Weaver scope mounts on Picatinny rail?

Maybe a silly questions but will weaver style scope rings mount onto a Picatinny rail? I have an Aimpoint 9000 with 30m weaver rings and would like to mount onto a rifle with a Picatinny rail. Thanks!

Yes

Weaver ring to Picatinny base = FINE

Picatinny ring to weaver base = FAIL

All my Picatinny mounts wear "Weaver" rings
