I just bought a Winchester model 670 30-06 and I found out the safety will not engage at all! If you play with the bolt shaking it up and down you can then move the safety switch. I contacted Winchester directly and because it is a 1966-1979 rifle they cant do anything about it. So, where do I find a replacement bolt assembly?? I can't find one.

Welcome to THR, fenny.
I'm aware of your model 670 but not familiar. Here is a link to Numrich who does have some parts, but they did not have a schematic of your model. You may not need a bolt, as they do have a safety available for the M670. Perhaps a call to them would be productive.
I need to add that if you have a side mounted sliding safety, it is a M670. If it is a bolt sleeve mounted safety similar to a M70, then you have a M670A. You need to know what model that you have.

It is just a budget pushfeed model 70 in a cheap stock. Parts should be easy to find. Any decent gunsmith should be able to get you fixed up easy enough.

The safety is located on the bolt. Thank you for giving me more information.

As previously stated the 670 is nothing more than an inexpensive post 64 model 70 with a blind magazine. They are actually a pretty good gun and very accurate (no doubt do to their hammer forged barrel).
They came in two variations from what I can tell, one had the three position safety and the other did not. Post 64 model 70 parts should work in this gun as long as they are from guns with similar safeties.

You might try looking at Wisner's list for the post 64 M70. The list shows a firing pin available at the bottom in red. A call to them with your serial # will probably solve the problem.
