Hopefully this is in the right section. I posted this in a couple other forums. Does anyone here have any information?

it seems you have a custom made by
one of the important designers at SIG
in the 70´s-80´s. Who then went to work with Walther.
Walther P5
The pistol incorporates many new design features, including a new aluminum alloy frame, trigger mechanism, dual-control mechanism,[citation needed] firing pin safety (US patent number 4313274 dated 1979, authored by Walter Ludwig).
Also, he took part in designing the P88 and 220
And now i found the source of your gun :)
From the about-us of the linked site. Says Rolf Fischlein founded the custom-firm with Walter Ludwig.
Click the link and you´ll even see the exact grips of your gun
on a new one. They are using Kimbers as a base.
Good News. The new Version would cost 2.250$!
( and yours has the "Walter Ludwig" stamping on it!)

( click on "WEITER" at the bottom of the page, there are some more examples of their crazy work!")
They say, that those can´t be made anymore for those prices, as
the extensive gunsmith-work can´t be paid for anymore.
Looks like you got quite a rare handcannon there, Mister!
What did ya pay?

Yeah, thanks again. I came across that site during my search, but didn't understand any of it, and didn't try the link on the left. I wonder if Walter Ludwig is still alive, and working?

Hopefully retired ... considering that he designed in the 70´s-80s ....
he should be 70 to 80 by now.
