Just ordered a 9mm conversion barrel for my Tokarev TT-33 .. my questions is will the stock 7.32x25 mags feed the 9mm reliably ? they hold the rounds fine, but dunno if they'll feed ok ..

just wondering if anyone has tried this with good luck .. they also sell a mag spacer, which makes the mags hold the rounds to the front of the mag, but I'd rather not get them unless I need to ..

thanks for any info

The Germans converted thousands of Tokarevs to 9mm by just making new barrels. The magazine works fine.

I converted a Polish TT-33 "Sportowy" trainer which used 7.62X25 aluminum chamber inserts (with the .22 inside) and the standard Tok magazine to 9mm by fitting the 9mm barrel and relieving the breech face.
The breech face alteration was necessary to 'lower' the firing pin impact to centerfire.

It fed the 9mm perfectly out of both standard TT-33 magazines.

thanks Jim and Falling .. that's what I was looking for ..

figured it should be ok, considering my buddy has a G20 (10mm) that he shoots .40 out of all the time, and it's 100% with the 10mm mags ..

thank again guys

Lugers are the most ammo unfriendly guns I've ever messed with, but the .30 Luger and the 9mm Luger magazines are the same. The .30 Luger cartridge is also bottle necked. Accuracy will drop if the barrel bushing is loose though.
