SHOT Day 3 - Salient Arms

Salient Arms (http://www.salientarmsinternational.com/) is a small shop based out of California. Their main gig is doing gun smithing work on Glock, 1911, and S&W M&P pistols and Benelli shotguns primarily for 3 Gun competition shooters.

The M&P trigger that they demoed is easily the best I've felt. Their stuff also looks great.

i agree, that is the best looking glock on the planet.

One of the neat things about the Salient Benellis is that they bend the barrels to make sure the guns shoot slugs to point of aim.

The single coolest thing about Salient Arms was getting to talk with their gunsmiths. These guys know their stuff, and are genuinely interested in extracting the maximum performance from the guns that come out of their shop.

I noticed slots milled out of the muzzle end of the slide in pictures 1 & 2. Just for lightening the load? I didn't see ports, ala, Mag-n-Port in barrel though.
Any info on the slots?

Slots get milled in slides for a couple of reasons. Lightening the slide will help the gun cycle faster with less felt recoil.

And it looks pretty cool.
