Maxpedition makes the RollyPoly and RollyPoly Extreme packs. These fold down into very compact pouches, or expand out into day pack sizes.

I have a Maxpedition Osprey II and their Mega-rollypolly dump-pouch, but haven't had a chance to try out their RollyPolly backpacks. I read that they use a lighter nylon-weave, did they seem like they'd hold up?
