Burris Speed Bead

Greetings,
I'm considering adding one of these to a HD/Tactical 870 Remington. Anyone own one?

I want to know if they are good for quick pickup and medium distance shots (25-50 yd. w/slug). How durable are they? Would they stand up to daily bump-and-grind?
Thanks

We have a couple of the guys using them for three gun matches so they seem to hold up well, I plan on going to one this next season on my 1100. They work great out past 100 yards with slugs.

I have a MRDS that I've used on my SPX, to me it seems pretty dang fast.

I have a burris fast fire, it is not mounted in that way. It has held up well to 3" slugs and 00 buck. I think if money were not a big option on a HD gun I would rather have one of the trijicon red dot sights like the RMR. They are more expensive but I think they are better as well.
As to whether these type of sights are fast:

And here is a benelli he has used in the past (albeit a J point and not a burris)

Now someone always comes a long to say that they don't use these for skeet or the like. I tend to ask which is a closer approximation of defensive shooting skeet or 3 gun. Typically the simply do not respond.
You do not need a RDS for a HD gun but a RDS offers a lot to a fighting shotgun IMHO
