Looking at this Model 15 4" barrel original grips two piece box and paperwork, I don't know much about DW I have heard they are very accurate, asking price was $475.00 I could get it for $425.00 Is this a good deal or just so-so.

Hello friends and neighbors // If it was made in Moonson I'd buy it.

You might want to do a search for DW m15 on Gun Broker but I do not think you will do better.--- Depending on condition. It sounds like it is "as new".

The last DW I bought (Oct. 2010) was a shooter with 2" and 6" barrels including an extra barrel nut w/ wrench for $345 OTD. There was wear on the end of the barrel and on two sides of the cylinder.

hope you enjoy it.

This M-15 appears to be a fixed barrel early model with the "porkchop shroud" here is a pic would this have any collector value or just a shooter?

Blue book reads 100%-$270 ,, 80%-$150 on DW M15 .357 fixed barrel

It also lists the complete pistol pacs in 100% - $500 and I've never seen one that low.

It is probably more of a shooter than collector.

Mine will outshoot my Smith's.....I just don't care for the sights and the way they adjust.

It is one of the older "pork chop" models which in my opinion are not as good and can be more rough internally than some of the later model 15's. Even if you like them that price is definitely toward the high end. Around here that would most likely be a 350-375 dollar gun in great condition and around $300 in fair condition. As far as "collectors value" at the moment most Dan wessons are between not at all and slightly collectible but that may be gradually changing. There is more interest in them than there was just a few years ago.

You are right that DW's in general flat shoot well. If you can buy a nice looking corkchop wesson for 300 buy it or wieght for a 15-2 monson model to buy. Now if like that porkchop looks like new maybe close to 350 to 400

I'd say it's on the high side as well. I recently bought a M15 "pork chop" in nice cosmetic shape w/ three barrels for $335.00. (and it was from a dealer)
