I am just curious, did THR attending the 2011 shot show result in new members to the website?

Out of the new members, are you a new firearms owner?

SHOT is for the shooting industry. It's not reasonable to expect many non-shooters there.

Maybe a lot of new members here signed up because of internet searches about SHOT. The coverage that was provided may have produced some new faces by itself. When Derek made the following post, at least, I immediately thought some of the growth was due to coverage of SHOT.

The problem is that we are growing much faster than we had planned for, and we run into system constraints...

J, I was not aware of that. I thought it was more of an open event. Good point CoRoMo... I have no real reason for posting the poll other than I was just curious but now knowing that the general public does not attend the event as a rule it is a little pointless. I am glad it did not cost me anything!

I'm not inclined to think so - there was no big jump in numbers due to SHOT, at least, and we didn't advertise anywhere than here at THR for the forum. (The ads should stop running tonight, by the way. ;) )

In that case... I voted that I discovered THR at the 2011 SHOT show and did not own guns before hand. :D
