Reloading Equipment/Components on Sale

I am helping put together another complete setup for a new reloader and had a thought.

In the spirit of "who's got primer" thread during the shortage, many of us receive various flyers, monthly catalogs, emails. How about if we posted these good sales of reloading equipment and components? Keeping these in a single thread will help us all easily keep current of what's on sale and take advantage of them. :)

Anything reloading related from bottom basement closeouts to higher-end stuff would help out everyone here.

Thanks in advance and post away!

What about a a 'pay it forward' type thread, instead?

As in, I have a duplicate case chamfer tool, to help a new guy get started... whats his address, and I'll send it to him, etc.

Surely there are enough of us who have spare pieces/parts laying around to help other people out?

Seedtick, patience ... I believe in the networking power of THR. :D

I am thinking about getting this ... just about the only USA made digital scale. Thing is, "Accurate to 1/10 grain up to 300 grains, and within 2/10 from 300-750 grains." Most of my powder drop/bullet weights won't exceed 250 gr. and I have an Ohaus 10-10.

$79.88 (regularly $99.99) "The PACT BBK2 Electronic Scale with AC Adapter (http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bargain-Cave/Shooting-Gear/Reloading|/pc/105591780/c/105670080/sc/105670980/PACT-BBK2-Electronic-Scale-with-AC-Adapter/739981.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fbargain-cave-shooting-gear-reloading%2F_%2FN-1102687%2FNo-48%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_105670980%3FWT.mc_id%3D58000000000569325%26WT.srch%3D1%26WT.tsrc%3DPPC%26WT.z_mc_id1%3D44523273%26WTz_l%3DUnknown%253Bcat105591780%253Bcat105670080%26WTz_stype%3DGNP%26rid%3D20&WTz_l=Unknown%3Bcat105591780%3Bcat105670080%3Bcat105670980) gives the speed and convenience of an electronic scale at a balance-beam price. Accurate to 1/10 grain up to 300 grains, and within 2/10 from 300-750 grains. Two calibration weights included. Uses standard 9-volt alkaline battery."

<flame suit on> :D

parisite, many reloaders are leery of "cheaper Chinese made" digital scales and often claim they drift, are inconsistent, turn off too fast to save battery and carry poor warranty. That is why I posted the USA made Pact BBK2 digital scale on post #5.

I have had good experience with MidwayUSA FA 750 gr digital scale (verified with several beam scales) that is no longer in production as long as they were used within the specified temperature range of 59F - 95F. It is replaced with the new FA DS 750 scale (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=175512&cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Reloading%20-%20Metallic%20Reloading%20Equipment%20%28Not%20Presses%29-_-PriceCompListing-_-175512) I do not have experience with. BTW, it's on sale for $19.99.

As to the cheaper digital scales, they need to provide precision/resolution/sensitivity of 0.001 gram or 0.1 grain as 0.01 gram scales only provide 0.15 grain accuracy. For me, 0.01 gram scales should not be used for reloading, only 0.001 gram scales.

if he needs a good scale I would tell him right off the bat to save up and don't spend anything less than the 80 for that PACT scale (if he wants digital...which he will at some point)... I have bought a couple of the cheaper "jewelry" type scales and if I had just saved up and bought the scale I have now it would have been much cheaper... a scale is hard to find at discount prices because the good ones will be sold out

Anybody know of a better deal than that one from Cabela's at $179.99?

Is there a better one/brand/model for what he's wanting to do?

I haven't posted anything because the title said on sale. Less cost I can point a couple out but from what I normally see they will probably get dogged.

Lee Factory Sales is the lowest price I have found on Lee reloading supplies & I bought a scale off eBay from Japan for $2.50 plus ~$5 shipping. The scale only measures to the nearest .2gr but that is better then my RCBS beam scale. If it happens to be 2.5gr then the scale will bounce from 2.4 to 2.6 so the ~.1 increments can still be found.

Well, Dillon Eliminator scale at $54 is not a sales price, but a great price with excellent warranty.

If reloaders need to buy equipment/components, it won't matter whether it's on sale or not as long as they are great prices/value.

I am brand new to reloading. My press, etc are coming in the mail this week. I have ABCs of Reloading on the way and a really basic reloading guide for 45 acp.

My question is where is the best deal for a tumbler? - I'm thinking vibration style. Also, were are the best deals on reloading manuals?

Until I get these squared away I will be cleaning with steel wool (I also have carbide dies) and will be loading very safe and conservative loads.

Thanks for any tips!

Although it's not on sale, Cabela's green tumbler (made by Berry's MFG) is a great vibratory tumbler at $49. If you want blue color, you can buy from Kempf Gun Shop (https://kempfgunshop.com//index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=256&category_id=7&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=41) at the same price. Capacity:
.38 Spl - 650 cases
9mm - 1000 cases
45ACP - 600 cases
.223 - 450 cases
30-06 - 250 cases

Also, were are the best deals on reloading manuals?

I don't know if it is the best deal but Harbor Freight has tumblers.

Bought their double drum tumbler last summer for thirty-some dollars but last time I was in there the price was over $80. Mine was not labeled as being on sale. The 2 belts provided broke within a couple of days but I found that rubber bands work just fine. I set it up and going in the garage overnight and get great looking brass with just walnut shells. I'm happy, but it would not be a good choice for someone that shoots 100s of rounds/week.

I also have purchased the double drum tumbler from Harbor Freight and really have used it a good bit, paid about $65 for mine a few months ago. You'd be surprised how much you can run through this tumbler in a few days.

I have a Wally World 24hr lamp timer that I use and just set up the tumbler to run in the morning before I leave for work, another batch when I get home from work and then another batch before I go to bed. 3 runs a day can get you some production.

Here's the RCBS mail-in rebate (http://www.rcbs.com/pdf/RC201_WebRebateCoupon.pdf) form that a few have mentioned above. $10 back on $50 worth of RCBS products or $50 back on a $300 purchase. Good for anything you buy in 2011 and I don't think the purchases have to be made at the same time.

I don't have a .40 but I keepon picking up the brass. Anyone that wants them can have them. I live in Booneville MO.
Would you be willing to ship them, on my dime of course?

My first time doing all this stuff so I can easily say..........

"this is how I always do it" :D

This is the tumbler I bought; it will be here this week. We shall see.

http://www.shopshotshop.com/1200-turbo-tumbler-p-10318.html?OBNsid=ceaefc2135354d319245763f3904fb4d

I would be interested in reasonable shipping deals too; one place I looked at for a Lee .45 LC 4 die set wanted 16 bucks to ship the little 1.2 pound package. I ended up with a $9.99 usps deal with F & M reloading, got it all for under 45 bucks. I don't expect and want something for nothing but 16 bucks? wow, I got my loader and tumbler shipped for that.

I have one of those myself and boy, let me tell you it has been getting a workout ever since I bought it.

One hint: put a couple of strips of dryer sheet (about 1"wide) in each batch.

Graf & Sons (http://www.grafs.com/) has the Hornady AP on sale for $400. As usual, shipping is only $5.

Also little known fact:

You can buy the RCBS Pro 2000 manual-advance Press, plus order the Auto-Advance Kit too, at Graf & Sons, for less than buying just the Pro-2000 Auto-advance at Midway.

That means you can have the parts for either or.....for less. Not as good a deal ordering just the Auto-Advance from either company.

This is more of an FYI.

If you buy shooting/reloading equipment/components from Amazon, consider upgrading to their Amazon Prime membership - http://www.amazon.com/gp/prime?ie=UTF8&tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=2480937525&ref=pd_sl_4jhisc5c2_e

I did the 1 month trial upgrade for mainly watching DVD/instant streaming movie/TV shows (already have Netflix streaming) and now I get unlimited free 2-day shipping on eligible purchases.

Just placed an order and got 2-day free shipping on $10 item. I think free shipping will be paying for the membership ($79/years) by the end of Christmas shopping season and cancelling Netflix ($95/year just for streaming).

I trust JAY and the folks at BERRY'S BULLETS:

Winstead Peters ACC-2000 Electronic Scale
http://www.berrysmfg.com/images/dot.gif
When we decided to make an electronic scale it was with the intention of having all the components made in the USA. We didn’t realize how hard that would be until we were knee deep into the project. With the current state of affairs in regards to manufacturing capabilities here in our great country, there are components that are no longer manufactured in the USA. They can be had on a custom basis, but the cost would be such that the product would be priced out of sight. Having said this we’ve made great strides in getting most of the product produced here in the USA.
Made In USA Components
• Main Circuit Board
• Strain-Gage Plate
• Plastic Injection Molded Case
• All Plastic Pan and Tray
• Printing & Packaging
• All Programming
• All Assembly Done in the USA

The software interface is designed to be completely user-friendly and able to be operated without having to read the manual
everytime you need to calibrate the scale.

• 2000 Grain Capacity
• Oz - Troy Oz - Grain - Gram - Carat - Dram
• Texas Instruments® High-Speed Processor
• Large Wide-Angle High Contrast LCD
• No Warm-Up Time, Ready to Weight in 3-Seconds
• Uses 3 AA Batteries, comes with A/C Adapter
• Low Current Draw = Long Battery Life
• Low Battery Indicator
• 1 Year Warranty

The scale comes packaged in a plastic injection molded hard case with die cut foam to help keep your scale safe while not in use.

If you go with the Kemphs tumbler opt up to the one that includes the media and sifter. Better deal. And I have been useing there media for a while and is very good. don't know what they mix with it but don't need to add polish or anything. I bet I do 4000 rounds (mixed rifle and handgun) before I need to toss it. Maybe more. I origanally was going to go s.s. wet tumble but with there media I decided to stay dry at this time.

Graf & Sons has Wolf LP primers for $99/5000 + $27.50 Haz Mat up to 50 lbs and free shipping ($6 handling/insurance) - http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/20093

IME, Wolf/Tula LP primers have been slightly larger in diameter than Winchester/CCI LP primer cups and take more effort to seat fully but they are great for extending the life of looser primer pocket cases. ;):D

Rocky Mountain Reloading (http://www.shop.rmrbullets.com/) / longdayjake (http://www.thehighroad.org/member.php?u=66795) announced on his Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rocky-Mountain-Reloading/162342093859053) of offering 5% off until the end of September (Promo started 9/25/12). All prices reflect free shipping.

Hey guys, for no other reason than I kinda want to, I am doing a 5% off coupon until the end of September. Use the coupon code "five" without the quotes at checkout. That said, there are a few rules that go along with this coupon code. In order to use the coupon, you have to share the code with at least one of your friends.

With the 5% discount, you can get 1000 40S&W 180 gr pulled FMJ for $99.75 shipped! (http://www.shop.rmrbullets.com/product.sc?productId=35) Look around, you won't find prices like this ... I am stocking up!

How about 1000 9mm Speer 115 gr pulled TMJ for $75 shipped? (http://www.shop.rmrbullets.com/product.sc?productId=11) (You just need to weigh the bullets as there may be some 124 gr bullets mixed in) These are very thick plated bullets that can be driven to jacketed velocities. At this price for Speer TMJ bullets, I don't mind weighing a few bullets. ;)

Okay, so I just found out that there was another mass shooting today. So, because I am a big conceald carry proponent, I am going to offer another 5% off coupon for the whole month of October and you can use the money you save to help pay for a class from www.mylegalheat.com. The coupon code for October is legalheat.

Stock up on Berry's bullets before the price increase starting November 19th - http://www.tjconevera.com/

Got this email from Tjconevera.
TJ Conevera's, Inc
www.tjconevera.com

Just want to let everyone know that Berrys Bullets have had an increase. We didn't get warning from the factory. We got a shipment in from the factory which is how we found out. We are going to give everyone the opportunity to buy at the old price over the weekend. New prices will go into effect November 19th Monday morning. I'm sorry we could not give a longer warning.

On the subject of price increases, Sierra will be going up after the first of the year. As of this moment, we haven't gotten any word from X-treme about their bullets going up.
