I wasn't sure whether to post this here, or in the Smithy section, but I figure this is more accessory-related than it is a repair of to do with functionality so......

It's implied here --> http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=250739, in post #5, that "electroless nickel" is a particularly soft finish ("...but IIRC, it's even softer than electroless nickel.").

Is that the case, please?

Oh, and can someone tell me please what the HECK "IIRC", means please?
