Can anyone tell me the length of the black rod that pushes down the primers? I had it snap into two pieces today and one of the pieces got jammed in the prime system and caused a real mess. I got it all fixed but need to cut a dowel to replace the rod.

Thanks,
Paul

You can also just call DIllon and they'll probably ship ya a new one for free.

Don't mess with it.

Call Dillon and tell them your problem.

I think I'm going to get a piece of brass threaded rod and make one that won't break.

Dillon will send you a free replacement. I just got a couple to replace some of mine.

I can appreciate wanting more weight, but I think going to all-brass will be too extreme. Also, threaded rod will no doubt scrape the inside wall of the tube, creating either (or both) aluminum and brass shavings.

Cal Dillon and get the plastic one.

A brass primer rod might become a lethal projectile should the primers blow.

That hadn't occured to me.

I have to order a couple more parts anyway.

Thanks.
