I second Wideners and Midway. Also consider Midsouth Shooters Supply.
I'm new to all this but it seems like it's hard to find a single source for all your reloading supplies. Most suppliers may have a few of one thing but sold out of something else you need. Be prepared to shop around.

Get your brass from Ed's Brass.

Forget XTP bullets. Get hollow points from Zero, Magnus, Montana Gold, or even Berry.

x2 on forgetting XTP's. Another vote for Zero bullets. You can get 1k of .38 cal JHP's from Powder Valley for 80 bucks....As a matter of fact, right now is the time to buy in bulk, since they have a special on Tula primers....I've got 10k primers and 8 lbs of powder coming in the mail.

What are zero bullets and what is wrong with XTPBullets?

My two "go to" places are Midway and Midsouth. Typically Midsouth is a bit less expensive.

Mid-South, Widener's, and Powder Valley. I get a dealer discount at Midway and they're STILL usually high than the other three.

I put in an order to Powder Valley and ordered 500 of those bullets but they did not have them / make them for the .44 Mag. so I had to get them in .357 and get the expensive XTP's in .44 Mag.

I'm in sales and cover quite a bit of territory (eleven heavily populated counties). Probably 15-20 shops that have reloading components. I keep checking the shelves to see if there's any older stock that they may have at old price.

I just got some Hornady Interlocks last week for $12 less than new price. They had new and old ones mixed on the shelf.

Found some old .458 for my SOCOM that were less than half of new price. Again, they were pushed back on the shelf out of sight. Got five boxes.

Cabelas bargain cave had some Berger .20 cals for my .204 Ruger for $6.99 a box. Usually about $30. Bought every box they had.

Another local shop that doesn't handle much for reloading was selling a bunch of stuff for the widow of a good customer. Just trying to move it as fast as possible. I bought probably 2,500 brand new .223 brass for less than $2.50/hundred. .224 Hornady 69 grain PSP's for $3 a box. Got 11 boxes.

Keep your eyes open every time you're out. Deals are where you find 'em. The stuff never goes bad, and it will never be cheaper.

So I put together an order at Powder Valley for some powder, bullets, and primers. The price is great, but I'm a little concerned about shipping. I've entered my card info and shipping address, and am about to push the "submit secure order" button. But there is no hint as to how much shipping will be. It just says shipping will be calculated when order is placed. Maybe I've spent too much time on EBay, but I want to know how much shipping will be before I order. Have I missed something?

Send them a quick email and ask them for a shipping quote. Let them know exactly what you are purchasing and your zip code. I did the same and got a shipping estimate the same day. I hope to place my order within the next week or so.

Starline Brass has good prices and free shipping. But they are usually backed up, if you don't mind the wait. I cast my own boolits and get my alloys from Rotometals (good prices and lightening fast shipping).
