And it's blue like a proper classy revolver should be.... :D

I've shot a couple of Rugers and recently got one of my own. A touch more "solid" than the S&W options but lookers in their own way for sure.

I've had a stainless one (4") for a long time. VERY good gun-solid, accurate, strong as a tank. Makes a great 'woods walking' gun adequate to vermin of any number of legs.

The GP100 is one of my favorite revolvers, if not the favorite. If it passes the revolver Check list that is posted on the top of the revolver forum, I'd say you did great!

Great for plinking, HD, woods gun. Great revolvers! Congrats.

Congrats on the nice find. I think finding something like that in a pawn shop for a great price is the most satisfying way to purchase a firearm. You will like that Ruger, and you will probably never break it :)

Search youtube for a video on how to detail strip the gun. Do that, clean the innards up a bit, and a light mist of CLP. If it's dirty, it'll help. If it's clean, it'll lube it up. Either way, it'll help slick up the action a bit more.

I have this exact gun and after doing that, the trigger is durn near as smooth as the 686 I shot a few months back.
