Mag ban to be hidden in FAA Bill

I have seen online (via National Association for Gun Rights) that there is talk that they will try to slide the mag ban into the Federal Aviation Administration Bill, a routine piece of generally non-controversial legislation.
I am trying to locate a link to the bill but we all need to keep our eyes open for this to come to the floor.
If anyone can find more direct links to the bill please post them up.

Why don't they get that this will do no good? If some one wants to hurt other people they will!

Seems it might be some NAGR nonsense.
The VCDL sent out this a bit ago:
I just got word that there may be an attempt to slip a magazine ban similar to the one proposed by anti-gun Congresswoman Caroline McCarthy into a normally benign
Federal Aviation Administration bill using an amendment in the U.S. Senate.
They can't really "sneak" it on without a vote on the amendment and therein lies our
defense against it.
I contacted Senator Warner's and Senator Webb's office and they confirmed that they
have gotten phone calls on this issue this morning from concerned constituents.
They say nothing is on the docket for *today* and they can't yet confirm the
validity of the rumor, but they are working on doing so.

Just got this from GRNC:
More word on the stealth gun control we alerted you to this afternoon. Rumors are running strong that Senator Richard Durbin (D-Illinois, of course) has designs of introducing some modern day McCarthyism into S. 223, which is an aviation bill dealing with the FAA. Of course we are speaking of the McCarthyism brought about by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-representing NY and the Brady Campaign) which is on the hunt to destroy your firearms freedoms. The word in the hallowed halls of Congress is that the McCarthy magazine ban might be only the beginning of this stealth attach on your rights.

I will contact my legislators to be on the safe side. I've been meaning to do it anyway.

IMO: NAGR is not a credible organization. It is run by Dudley Brown. Brown keeps begging for donations: However, i cannot find evidence that NAGR has donated any money to support gun rights or anything else. Strange that none of the credible gun rights organizations give any mention of this.
i am somewhat concerned with the meeting between McCain and Obama today. Will bet that one of the subjects discussed at that meeting was gun control.

I don't think I would call it hiding the mag ban in the bill. It would simply be a rider. Both parties attach riders to bills. The practice isn't outside of SOP for either party.
Ever wonder why a politician can be shown to vote contrary to his or her views? Simple, they vote for a bill that is beneficial, but it contains some sideline rider that they don't agree with, but need to have the rest of the bill passed. In short, they often vote for or against a variety of things contrary to their views because of this rider process.

You are nicer than me then Double Naught Spy. I know it is SOP for these slugs, but since McCarthy, Obama and crew thinks this is so important and "demands national debate", avoiding the debate and tagging it to a bill that has nothing to do with the debate is beyond cowardly IMO. They KNOW they can;t win a debate so they tie it to a bill most likely wont even fully read (which is scary as well).
That and this is a rider which will impact a right protected in the bill or rights and a big SCOTUS issue lately.
That they did this issue in that manner, to me, is hiding.

It hasn't actually happened. In fact no one has been able to find any evidence at all that it's even being considered.
So far the ONLY source for this is NAGR, and that's dubious at best.
Closing this as plain old rumor mongering until another source is found.
Just for reference, it's Senate S223 introduced by Sen Rockefeller.
Has no cosponsors yet.

Also some blogs are reporting that there is a "secret rider attached to repeal healthcare" so apparently the story is pretty popular.
