Does anyone know what MA laws are regarding ordering ammunition through the mail. I have been scouring the Mass.gov site for over an hour and I still can't find a clear answer. I'v noticed some vendors will not ship handgun ammunition to MA and some vendors will not ship any ammo to MA. :banghead:

Check the Massachusetts Gun Owners Action League ( www.goal.org ) for some info on this.

Basically our AG conducted some sting operations where they (I assume) ordered ammo from out-of-state companies, then charged them with not complying with Mass law and threatened them with fines. Suppososedly the AG is requiring that these companies obtain a Mass license to do business.

Can you spell obstructing Interstate Commerce?

I knew you could.

I've been trying to access GOAL's site but it seems to be down. I'll have to try again later.

F$#@ing Attorney General. This state is ridiculous.

I think that there are at least a couple of merchants who will mail order to MA in spite of the Atty. Genl. I would do a search on these foums as the few brain cells I have left are not coming up with the thread that I saw it on.

Scuttle butt at the cub last week with a member of Goal was that the feds had ssent a letter to Reilly to cease and desist with his threatening letters to merchants out of state [ interfering with interstate commerce ].

Some merchants will still send and some are still afraid of the AG.

Aim surplus where i would buy 308 by the cases will still not ship here unfortunately.

man, I hate Tom but imagine if that Newton crack pot Lois Pines had been elected? I'll be working against Tommy boy in the next election, hopefully Mitt can find a suitable candidate.

Yeah, poor Mitt. That guy sure has his work cut out for him. He's trying though, and it's the first time in a long time that has happened.

Ok, so who WILL ship ammo to Mass? Can anyone verify the FEds telling the AG to stop harrasing out of state dealers due to the international commerce law?

Brownie0486:

"Feds" covers a shi*tload too many people with alphabet soup agencies and such who employ far too many "Americans". Did your GOAL contact specify which agency?

He only mentioned the gaol rep said feds.
