I just installed a set of Mojo Phase III Sights on my Finn M-39 Mosin Nagant. This is the set with arpetures at both the front and rear sights. I like the sights, they are well made, look good and install super easy on this rifle.

Question: When using a front arpeture, do you focus on the front sight or focus on the target through the front sight?

DMK,

According to G. David Tubb, the man with more individual Championship titles in Highpower Rifle comp than anyone else in history...... when shooting with a front aperture, focus is not as critical as when shooting with a front post sight.

With a front post you MUST focus on the post to maintain a consistant point of impact. Focusing on the target won't allow a precise and repeatable sight picture.

With a front aperture you can focus on either the target or aperture, as long as it stays the same throughout the string of shots. Don't switch focus between the two or you can get shifting POI.

Best regards,
Swampy

I think I'm going to have fun experimenting with these sights.
