A couple are pretty grody... any way to clean the insides of the scabbards?

I don't suppose I should immerse them in simple green or summat?

They are pretty much immune to anything that won't strip the paint off.

We used to wash them in the shower with hot soap & water for inspections.

I would try to find a nylon bottle brush or something that will reach down inside and just wash them with soap & hot water.

Might maybe be able to get a .22 cleaning rod & nylon bore brush in past the springs, but I don't know?

How bout trying foaming bore cleaner first, then blasting it with some brake parts cleaner (wear eye pro!)?
