It looks as if I may be moving my firearms (& my other possessions, BTW) to Houston in the near future. I was on UHAUL's website & discovered that they will not rent ANY trailer to someone using a Ford Explorer as the tow vehicle. Oddly enough, the Mercury Mountaineer is still okay. A call to their 800 number revealed that this was a 'corporate decision'. No other information was available.
Yeah, this is not really gun related, but I needed to vent..... :cuss:

Consider yourself lucky.

After years of family squabbling over control of the company and little investment in it, the quality of the U-Haul rental fleet is dangerously substandard. I base that on my own experience with them and lots of investigative news reports I've seen also.

Rent a Ryder instead.

google "uhaul horror stories" (or ryder)

Rumor is that penske isn't bad. People have ryder stories as well, but they tend to be not as bad as uhell.

Oh, OT.
