I took my first game, a 4 point buck, with my M1A today. Fairly short range, about 50 yards, iron sights, 150 gr Federal, and a long, long stalk. What a fine rifle for hunting.
This was my first deer this season also. I have not had a chance to hunt until yesterday. A friends farm, in North Central Florida, with all the wonderful places I love, clear cuts, swamps, and heavy cover.
