He is an idiot, bad mouthing Bush "I won't deliever Turkeys in the night, I talk to the leaders". He is losing so he's coming out shooting but boy, I think he is using blanks. I might have voted for him but not now, he makes no sense in his blind attacks. He embraces Bill Clinton now:barf:

Like I said in the Dean thread, this is the guy that really frightens me. I don't even think hes a true leftist Democrat, I just think he's pretending to be one to get elected (though he's a real long shot).

I am not a military man, but I'd like to hear what some current/former servicemen think of the notion that military service automatically means you would be good at foreign policy.

Cause really, thats all I see here. Seems that that portion of the "anybody but Bush" crowd that for whatever reason don't want Dean seem to push the line that since Bush is percieved (wrongly, they think) as good on foreign policy, the only way to get rid of him is to have someone stronger.

Course, giving Europe the "veto" over our action does not seem too strong to me.

And that's what scares me about this guy. He'll say ANYTHING if he thinks its what people want to hear. And then if it turns out he was wrong he'll say the exact opposite.

Dean and Clark, the two Democratic contenders I'd never vote for in a million years. (The others not in 500,000 years). Yet they are the only two that seem to have much "buzz" around them. Should be fun!

tele, Clark is Clinton's Arkansas stalking horse to attempt to head the plunge off the cliff by following McGovern. That bothers me a lot more than "blind attacks." Those are just politics.

Military service does not automatically mean you would be good at anything, but honorable service to one's country should be a bonus for any candidate. Clark's service at one time may have been honorable, but he displayed a serious integrity problem later on that IMO negates any bonus for him. As far as I'm concerned, he's just another candidate. I'd give Kerry more credit for his service than Clark, and I abhor Kerry.

Military service(especially wartime service) is always a plus. However, former CJCS General Hugh Shelton's remarks about Clark's removal from office stemming from integrity issue constitute a pretty damning indictment.

Clark scares me. He's a shark.

If you had to choose a "wartime president" would you choose the Commander of Operation Boznia (a dubious enterprise) who was removed or a sitting president which has taken the fight to the enemy?

Just saw the interview. Still have no idea what he stands for except that George Bush is the worst thing that ever happened to this country. I was surprised that was fairly gentle to Dean, even when given the opportnity for attack.

Even more surprisingly, he stated he will not accept any Vice Presidential nominations (though he had to be pressed pretty hard to admit it). I have been assuming a Dean/Clark ticket for some time now. Huh.

Though the pundits seemed to believe that his "absolute no" was less than absolute. Ahh, politics!

Clark is a politician, not a General, which explains general shelton's remarks.

I hold Gen. Shelton in very high esteem, and if HE says that clark has integrity problems, then I'll be damned if I'm gonna vote for him.

The man is simply taking beliefs publicly because he thinks he'll win. Regardless of his views, this practice is abhorrent.

To hell with politicians. Monkey for President!

Hm. Surprised its taken up 'til now for some folks to see the empty political shell Clark is. The only thing that he got going is Bush bashing. I knew he wasn't president material when he had to call his CNN bosses he was under contract with if he can talk when other networks were asking him if he was going to run early on. That and his connections with the Clintons. He is nothing more than their stooge. He is the foot in the door for hillary.

Was this a live interview? He was on not too long ago on MTP with Tim Russert (early Dec or late Nov). Saw that one and it was pretty bad. Evaded a few 'what would you do' questions by smokescreening how bad the Bush administration was.

I guess I was dozing but what did Gen. Shelton say about Clark? Does anyone have a link?
