Got the same email yesterday. Looked at his site. he seems to be a standard socialist trying to woo "sporting gun users". I think I'll ask for a photo of him with an AR15 to prove his bona fides.

That, and a copy of his High School Diploma would do nicely.;)

Hey, any Okies out there know anything about him?
I tend to take what polititions say with a grain of salt. Sounds OK, but...

In the meantime, I'm trying to end poverty (starting with myself), so if each of you could just send me $500...

Oleg, I emailed and suggested that to him, let's see what he says .

gotta admit, he starts off alot better than most candidates who just say " I support the 2A"

STOP gun control policy that only hurt the law abiding citizens.

2nd amendment . . . only the honest folks are hurt by gun control laws. Criminals are criminal and will always get gun. The honest folks are guaranteed the right to keep and bear arms and I will fight to stop these infringements to our rights.

so what will HE do to stop crime without infringing on law abiding gunowners??????????????????

I think a good question to ask was one I read here in another thread awhile back:

Name three federal gun-control laws you would work to repeal.

I'll "indorse" him when he starts using spell-check. :neener:

I have no picture of me with an AR15 for the same reason I have no "R" or elephant on my site. Running and Representing are to different things. I do not need to give my opponents any ammunition on anything divisive. No one will agree on anything 100% of the time and I need to find as much common ground through out my district as I can. My site may seem a bit vague, but it gives a flavor of my stands on the issues important to my constituents.

I can assure you that I am a hard fast "Keep and Bear Arms" person. Any help you can sent my way will be greatly appreciated. But either way, my gun votes will not be compromised.

Thank you for your time.

I ran for office (last year), kinda a big one, in the liberal epicenter of the universe and got 40% of the vote with no money, experience or help really of any kind (coming into it completely cold 6 months before the election). I only had the truth on my side. It was almost enough. I was pretty surprised with all of the NRA stickers that I saw on cars as I was knocking on doors. Our elected officials don't necessarily represent the people like they say they do - A revelation. Won't be doing that again anytime soon.
Best wishes.

Maybe I'll send Mr. Smalley a poor, vague photocopy of a check so he'll have a flavor of my support.
