Need help figuring out age & value of gun. gun is like new probably only been shot 30 to 50 times.

It would help to know what model it was.
Open the cylinder and it will be stamped on the frame
15-1, 642-5. It will be very hard if not impossible to help you with out the mod#

Hello thanks on the inside it looks like "T Z 12466" that is all I see stamped on the inside when the cylinder is opened , I hope this helps as I am really lost in the dark when it comes to guns. Thanks in advance Mike

Model 10-5 is the .38 Military & Police Tapered Barrel.
Model 10-6 is the .38 Military & Police Heavy Barrel.

These are among the most common revolvers, built on S&Ws medium 'K' frame in various generations for the last 111 years with several million manufactured.

Serial number C660687 dates it to 1963-1965. Serial range for those years was C622700 to C810532.

Value is probably around the $350 mark, a gun or pawn shop will offer considerably less as they need to make their profit margin when reselling.
