Models needed for posters, book illustrations

One of the side effects of my falling out with Betty (runt_of_the_litter) has been a change in the policy on the photos I took of her. I may continue to use already created posters featuring Betty but not create anything new with the archived images of her. She also requested that I take down my web page about her, which I did only to comply with the request.

I have a number of posters in the making. I am also creating illustrations for a several of web sites and books about firearms. While I have several regularly available models in and around Nashville, most of them are not very convincing with firearms. I am looking for new faces, preferably people who would be available on a regular basis. Looks and age aren't all that significant, though some people are more photogenic than others (curiously, some very handsome folks don't work well on camera and vice versa). If you would like to volunteer or know anyone interested in becoming a regular photo subject for me, please let me know.

Thanks!

If you're ever out Albuquerque way, I and some of my friends would be glad to ham it up for your camera. I can even introduce you to the wonderful world of Enfields. And be sure to bring your Garand and I'll give you some long range rifle coaching. I was trained by two US Marine rifle experts.
I'll soon have my private pilot's license, so maybe I could come to you as well.

As I'm sure you already know, just give me a call anytime. Of course I'm not sure I'm exactly photogenic enough.

If you want to come down to Columbia, SC, my wife is pregnant, very photogenic, loves guns, and loves having her picture taken with guns.

And she thinks your website is great.

I'd volunteer, but I'm in the Army and it's pretty easy to tell even if I'm dressed in civvies.

I volunteer! You've already seen my pictures if you've seen a Blackhawk magazine ads :D

Seriously, if you ever come to California, you can stay at my place. I'll carry a spare gun in a bag and if TSHTF I toss you the bag. You won't have to worry about being unarmed as long as you don't mind me being your tactical caddy.

OEF_VET, whatever dude, you're pretty photogenic, all the pictures I've seen of you rule (favorite being the one with the AK-74). It's like your voice on the answering machine, you might think it's dorky, but no one else thinks so :)

Army look is a plus: can do in and out of uniform and use the caption "Who do you trust, the man or the uniform?". I will be in N.C. around 24th to do a commercial photo shoot for a holster maker, wonder how far out of they way your location would be. I'll already have lights with me. Pregnant model would be useful as no one would suggest that she could run from danger or should fight it out mano a mano.

I would be willing to try. I live in the Nashville area

Drop me a line with contact info. I'll be able to do shoots starting Jan.13 Also, end of the month we may have a THR gathering (not at my place this time).

Glamdring,

I finally posted a pic of you behind the Scout in "just people" section.

I'll go to the states which I can reach and where I can legally carry. But I really need a coupld of local people. OEF_Vet fills part of that need, and Mama06+family might help with other scenarios (only trouble is the 40+ mile drive).

Anyway, if you know of anyone local who has spare time, let them know.

Some of you CA/MD folks would just have to come visit.

Okey, I'll amend it to "all four" or "all eight"...but my place can only fit two guests comfortably, so any more than that would have to find accommodations in town.

One other reason for looking for a regular subjector tow is that it takes me a while to get rapport with a person and to figure out lighting, posing. So a test shoot and a follow-up work better than a one-time session.

Guess I could come out of retirement. Back in the old days of B&W film, I was the porn star with the Lone Ranger mask and argyle socks. When the talkies ("grunties", we called 'em) came in, it was the end for me; my grunts sounded like the campfire scene in "Blazing Saddles" and proved to be disruptive on the set.

Last time I meant to get a photo of you at Knob Creek, I goofed and ended up with a picture of Kent LaMont instead and didn't realize my error till later. Would love to remedy that mistake at the earliest opportunity. Besides poster images, I'd also want to do a formal portrait of you.
