I was using the ole Search button ( :what: )to look at some kahr-related posts and I saw at least two references to the 124 +P Gold Dots not being reliable with Kahrs...
I was wondering if everyone that has put a significant number of 124 Gr +P Gold Dots through their Kahrs might chime in and share their experience. And maybe saw which model of Kahr you own.
Keep in mind, this is intended to only reflect 124 +P Gold Dots IN KAHR PISTOLS.
For the record, I have a P9 Covert and have put about 550-600 rounds of 124 Gr +P Gold Dots (500 were of the reclassified 'hard primer' variety) through it and never had a single failure at all.

I've shot maybe 10 through my K9.
I normally carry Hydrashoks in it, though.

200 rounds of Speer +p and 300 rounds of GA Arms +p 124gr Gold Dots through my P9 with no problems at all.

I did read somewhere that the Kahr was designed to fire 115gr bullets!! ;)

Denfoote, I seem to recall that the K9 was designed for Cor-Bon 115gr +p.

Actually, I carried the +P CorBon 115s when I carried my Taurus back when I thought CorBon and Triton were the only SD ammo worth carrying (at least as far as 9mm goes... But they just seem so short... Actually I haven't bought any in a few years.
The two failures I remember reading about were the Gold Dots nose diving into the feed ramp and +P ammo in general activating an early slide lock... I've never experienced either of these though when I hand cycle either 124 Gold Dots or Golden Sabers through the gun, the Golden Sabers feel smoother.
Like I said, I've put over 500 rounds of Gold Dots without a hitch but I recommend these guns quite often and the 124 Gr +P ammo is the ammo I usually recommend for 9mm buyers... Though it's worked for me, I just want to make sure I'm not recommending something that isn't widely expected to work. :uhoh:

Both my PM9 and my friend's PM9 have fired several boxes of 124 +P Gold Dots with no problems.
The only rounds that ever gave me trouble in my PM9 were Hydra-Shoks.

ProLoad 124 gr +P GD
No problems whatsoever

Well, it's far from a lot, but I did put two 50 round bags of Georgia Arms 124gr +P Gold Dots through my K9, not one problem.
Then again, my K9 has never had a problem with anything except American Ammunition (that wasn't resized during reloading).
The K9 is an excellent example of a quality handgun.
