griz January 8, 2004, 12:27 PM Appreciate the info, I need some things.
And if you're who I think you are, thanks for carrying my bullets around in your truck for two months:o
Hope you don't get snowed on too much this weekend.
Poodleshooter January 8, 2004, 01:20 PM I've been temporarily banned from gunshows after a buying spree at Wideners. Then again, I don't really need anything for once, other than time and weather to shoot.
That is a great show over at the Showplace, though.
cookhj January 8, 2004, 02:09 PM nope, wasn't me griz. might have been my dad. we have the same name.
Cacique500 January 8, 2004, 04:26 PM I'll be there since its going to be freezing cold this weekend
griz January 9, 2004, 06:12 AM Yep, that explains it. Good shooting with you last month.
cookhj January 9, 2004, 01:55 PM you too. it was fun!
just got a call from my squad leader. drill is rescheduled. GOING TO THE GUN SHOW!
the only problem is.....I HAVE NO MONEY!!!! :cuss: :banghead: :cuss:
The Undertoad January 9, 2004, 02:08 PM It had to be the one week I'm out of state, didn't it.
SapperLeader January 10, 2004, 07:33 AM My brother and I are trying to go tomorrow. Im looking for a few older pistols, so hopefully Ill have some luck. The richmond showplace show has been real nice in the past.
mtnbkr January 10, 2004, 07:43 PM My wife and I went. Average show. Not much there I was interested in and I didn't get all the reloading supplies I needed either. While my wife was in the concession area feeding our 4 month old daughter, three guys offered to buy her lunch (not all at once). How come nobody offers to feed me?
Prices on stuff I was familiar with were decent, I just wasn't in the market...
Chris
Cacique500 January 10, 2004, 08:14 PM They had some great prices this time on SKS's...
One group had them for $99 - another had some slightly nicer ones for $109...couldn't pass that up :-)
Last show I didn't see any under $140.
Lot less of the 'crap' tables this time too - only counted about 4 or 5 that were selling figurines, jewelry, etc.
4thHorseman January 10, 2004, 11:09 PM I went to the show with my wife. We drove a few hours to get there. Not a bad show. A lot of Colt revolvers, which I liked.
Chris-mtnbkr- I promise it wasn't me trying to buy your wife a lunch. LOL
I didn't get anything but enjoyed the trip and the time spent.
I didn't see Dark Sun. Might of been there, just didn't see them. Trader Jerry's of course was there. I seen a nickle plated Colt Viper in new condition for about $400. First one I ever seen.
And Cacique500, yep..my wife bought some of that junk jewelery. Why, I don't know, except to spend my money.
:)
cookhj January 11, 2004, 12:23 AM dark sun was there. i can't remember where. they had some good stuff, but nothing i can't live without.
