I live in Chicago Illinois, And was looking for a handgun training and saftey course.

I was wondering what you may reccomend...

Well howdy and welcome to THR. Glad you stopped by and hope you find what your looking for. Fortunately:D I don't live in the gun free zone of Chicago so I am not able to anwser your question. We do have several members up there and I'm sure they will help you out. If all else fails go to the NRA's website and they can put you in touch with an instuctor somewhere in your neck of the woods. ( I hope you don't mind me ribbing you about Chicagos guns laws in your first thread:D )

Trust me I hate the Gun Laws more than you can understand.

I live in the Loop Area, And my parents are in the suburbs. I have to keep my firearms at my parents house because it is illegal to possess handguns in the city limits.

About 7 months ago someone broke into my apartment while I was sleeping and stole 100+ DVD's, Playstation, DVD Player. And I could not do anything...

I really want to take a saftey course so that I feel more comfortable around my own weapons... I would even be willing to take an out of state course if it is convienent and the price is right.

I currently have a Glock, 12 Guage, 30 ought 6.... And they reside at my parents house in my step dads safe.

I would second checking out the NRA site and then checking some of the classes to see if they are what you're looking for.

Thank you Valkman, I checked that before I came here. I had already sent out an E-mail and am awaiting a reply. I am looking for others as well...

I also searched the forum, I am familiar with other forums and know to do some footwork on my own before bothering you guys...
