It is funny... how something as simple as a full salute can be so moving.
One of the most moving things I can remember is being in the procession of a fallen LEO friend of the family - long term guy, very well liked. From funeral home to cemetery was probably 8 miles so we had a trip. As we were riding down the road, a state police officer with someone pulled over saw the procession and turned and stood at salute and attention for what turned out to be the entire procession...
It was literally more moving, to me, than the funeral itself.
