My girlfriend's dad has this; what an odd little gun.

It seems like a real P.O.S. in terms of design but it feels somewhat solid. Although the cylinder lockup with the hammer back is really bad.

Hopkins & Allen?

If I were really deep I could probably guess by the grip ... looks like a crest or emblem of some sort.

H&R

They seem to be pretty common guns. About as basic as you can get for a revolver.

Thats a H&R Young America Safety Hammer. They were available in .32 S&W Long and .38 S&W. Judging by the cylinder flutes, I'd guess yours is a .32.
