Hornady LnL PTX question

Just set up my LnL AP, and the box came with a piece of paper saying that the "PTX stop" is backordered. I called Hornady and got in line to have one sent.
What I'm wondering is if this little part is _required_ for using the PTX expanders or just kind of a nice to have. I really want to use the PTX expanders instead of having to dedicate two stations for (1) expanding and (2) powder drop.

Nice to have... You can just bottom out the measure... The bracket makes fine-tuning much easier.

You're luckier than I am. I have the stop but all of the PTX expanders are backordered.
Also note that Hornady has changed the part numbers because they made some changes.

The stop is not really necessary. I've been using my LNL AP for awhile without one.
As for the PTX dies, I've been using the one from www.powderfunnels.com for awhile now and I like it much better than having to have multiple Hornady units.
Some people dislike the powderfunnels.com unit but I like it.
