I really like the standard, bar dot sights on my Sig 228. It seems that the Novak Bar Dot night sight configuration most closely simulates it in the night sight form. With the exception of the PT night sights, has anyone ever found a bar dot form of night sights except for the Novaks? The straight 8's don't really work out for me. Also, if I do get the Novaks, is there someway to paint that same white strip that's on the Standard Sig sights below the tritum bar to recreate the bar dot effect? Thanks in advance

AAChang, I had a set of MMC bar dot night sights installed on my SIG229. Granted, they aren't as rugged as fixed sights, but they are a very tough, snag resistant design. The tritium was brighter than that the tritium in my Trijicon sights. As a plus, you can adjust them to your favorite load's point of impact.

I have the Ashley Outdoors (or whatever they call themselves today) on my 225, and the PT night Sights on my 226. The Standard sized bar-dots (the BIG DOT should win an award for truth in advertising) are far better than the PTs and give almost exactly the same sight picture under any lighting conditions.
