Does anyone here carry WWB JHP's? How do they perform compared to other JHP's? I bought 3 boxes and have shot 100 rounds of it without failure. What do you guys think of it?

Surprisingly, it's good ammo, even when compared to other much more expensive JHP's. For example, see here:

Very interesting sight. Makes me feel alot more confident in that round for sure. After seeing that I have reservations about carrying Hydroshocks.

I've been carrying the 147jhp white box for a while. I was happy with the score it received.

I have used it, and I like it. It is good stuff, especially for the price. It makes it cheap enough to practice with a round that you can be confident in carrying, as well.

EDIT: Clarification: I don't carry, I'm 20. I just left my thoughts concerning such. Carry on. ;)

I also like the 9mm 147 gr JHPs; good stuff that seems to be readilly available at the local Wally marts.

I've never used it to shoot anything other than paper but it has been flawless for that as has the similar White Box 40S&W JHPs.

ammolab.com had favorable findings but I'd really rather use Gold Dots, Golden Sabers, CorBons etc...

I sympathize. Only with a touch of envy because I have to wait longer.

Well currently I don't carry either. I'm a Missourian. :( I will be carrying soon enough though. I do keep my pistol loaded incase of a break in though. And I carry openly when hunting, fishin, or hiking in the woods.

The white box are a good non +P load. About the middle of the road in velocities.

The good thing is that they can be fed into almost any handgun. That can't be said for all hollow points out there. An added bonus is that you can buy cheap practice ammo that has similar velocities at half the price.

It's what I have been shooting in my Sig P-239 9mm and I love it. The price is right and so far no FTF or FTE, and seems to be pretty accurate.

I have pretty much switched to using the 125gr JHP .38 in my Taurus 85CH. Accurate, no failures period, and performs well in my informal tests. I shoot a lot of the ValuePack 9MM FMJ also.

The 9mm JHP White Box load is surprisingly good. Gets pretty good penetration thru denim and expands to around .60".

I like the 9mm and .45 rounds for carry.
They feed well, are accurate, and slightly hot.
Not bad for the price.

I have used Winchester's white box 110 gr JHP 357 Magnum load and it seemed to perform well. Very high velocity, even from a 2-1/8 inch barrel.

I usually use speer gold dot 124 grain, but I do use the winchester whitebox jhp in my keltec since it has a shorter barrel. Im thinking about starting to use it in my xd subcompact also. You cant beat it for the price, its fairly accurate in most of my guns, and you can pick it up in any walmart.

I've been pleasantly surprised. No FTF. No FTE. I use the 9mm and .45 ACP almost exclusively. I also use the WB ball ammo. No problems there, either.

For carry, I use Hydra Shok.

I've read time & again it's a good idea to 'function test' a semi-auto with the JHP round you plan to carry to make sure your gun will feed & extract the round.

I never got around to that with Golden Sabres/Gold Dots at 75 cents/round.

With the price of the White Box JHP I found a factory load I'm confident in that was cheap enough for a function test.

It's also easier to shoot off carry rounds that have been sweat on by IWB carry. Once again, I never felt good pulling the trigger on rounds that were 18.00 for 20...
